What is PlaHNet?

Planetary Health Network of Young Professionals (PlaHNet) is a non-profit organization established in 2020. PlaHNet aims to create a network of young professionals and students who are interested in planetary health, in order to put into practice planetary health principles, and increase awareness of the planetary health concept.

Our logo is a green circle to represent the planet, with leaves representing young people, and dots to show the connections that we hope to establish. Connections and collaborations between our members are not only important for sharing information and ideas, but also for providing encouragement and new opportunities.

Education, advocacy, and creativity are our key pillars. We believe that, through these methods, we can disseminate the planetary health concept in a way that both engages young professionals and encourages further understanding.

Thanks to enthusiastic participation from our members and valuable contributions from individuals and organizations with planetary health issues close to their heart, we have managed to lead webinars, write blog posts, and host competitions. We are a member of the Planetary Health Alliance (PHA), and we have an independent advisory board, composed of seven recognized experts in the field. The upcoming year holds even more in store.

Become a member today to stay informed about topics related to planetary health, and to be involved in creating a better, more sustainable future.
